[abstract] this article from the current public language translation of some typical error, the auther analyzes public language in translation process easily appeared such as spelling chaos, syntax errors, Chinese style English, semantic fuzziness; Culture misunderstanding and combining translation theory, this paper proposes relevant countermeasures to solve these problems, so as to improve and enhance public translation quality.[key words] public language translation, Error; countermeasures "Public words" refers to the street signs, shop signs, propagate language, warnings, tourism introduction, etc, which are widely used in every aspect of our lives. Along with the rapid development of China's economy, Chinese and the various communication across the country, increasing public place of chinese-english bilingual signs and hints of language also is increasing, but various errors and nonstandard phenomenon also emerge in endlessly, not standard, correct translation not only affect foreign friends in China's food and clothing lives with travel, worse still relationship into the city's mental outlook and overall image, affect the international image of China. In recent years in numerous linguistics, translation expert calls for a sound, public language translation study gradually become the focus in departments to improve the understanding, strengthen the improvement efforts. In this, the author based on some examples, talk on display translation existed in some issues.
